Needle Storage

Circular and double pointed needle storage has been an ongoing challenge for me since I started knitting eight years ago. The circulars get tangled, neither usually have size numbers on them, and the double pointed all look the same. Not to mention I also have sets of interchangeable needles to throw into the mix. I was never satisfied with the myriad solutions I have tried, but I have finally found an answer thanks to Office Max! They have a new line of binder supplies called [IN]PLACE and it is perfect for needles! There are large slide closer pockets for the circulars and double pointed needles. I did one for each size from size US 2 up to US 9.They also have smaller pockets that are two layered with a larger space in the front and three smaller compartments in the back. I used these for sock double pointed needles and the pieces for my interchangeable needles.I finished the whole thing off with some stylish Avery Note Tabs for size labels. I bought a 2-inch, hot pink binder at Target and might need to upgrade the binder size at some point. It is pretty packed right now. I used my student discount at our local Office Max and managed to get most of the supplies at a discount too. I think the whole set up was under $30 when all was said and done. My only complaint is that the pouches come with labels on them that are not very easy to peel. I spent a long time scraping sticky label paper off the surface. The overall solution though is totally organized and satisfying!
